FCE: writing paper - on alternate lines?  XML

  • Author

  • I came across the suggestion to write on alternate lines in the writing paper so that students can cross out mistakes and write corrections above the line as they are not allowed to use correction fluid and must use a pen.I wonder is this acceptable? Any advice would be much appreciated.
  • Personally I wouldn't recommend they do that. They should be using the spare paper provided to write a draft of their work before copying it onto the answer sheet so any changes after that should be minor ones. Another thing to bear in mind is that they need to mark new paragraphs and the most popular way to do this is leave a blank line.
